Madhya Pradesh Transport Department mandates AIS-140 certified VLTD for all commercial vehicles operating as tourist taxis or pilgrim transfer cabs across the state. Vehicles without a valid certificate are subject to challan, permit suspension, and rejection during renewal at the host district RTO. Pilgrimage transfer contracts and multi-temple itinerary bookings now routinely require VLTD compliance proof at the time of booking.
