State of Health (SoH)
The headline figure comparing current usable capacity against the battery's original factory capacity.
A real sample of the report buyers, dealers, and platforms use to verify battery condition before an EV resale transaction.
India's used EV market is growing quickly, but it is still missing the one document that gives both sides of a transaction confidence: a standardised battery health report. Unlike a petrol car, where an odometer reading and a service book tell most of the story, an EV's most expensive component, the battery pack, has no mandatory disclosure standard in India today. A seller is not required to hand over a State of Health reading, and a buyer often has no way to verify one beyond taking the seller's word for it.
This gap shows up directly in price negotiations. Early adopters who bought first generation EVs between 2020 and 2022, including the Tata Nexon EV, Tata Tiago EV, and MG ZS EV, are now reaching the used market in large numbers, often priced between seven and seventeen lakh rupees. Industry data shows State of Health on these four year old vehicles ranges widely, anywhere from the high seventies to around ninety percent, and that range is the difference between a battery that is functionally excellent and one approaching the point where replacement becomes a real conversation.
Before you download anything or commit to a transaction, you should know exactly what a credible battery health report contains and how to read it. That is the purpose of this page: to show you a real sample of the Navionyx EV Battery Health Report, the same document used in our dealership and resale platform certification programmes.
Estimated cost of a battery pack replacement depending on the model. This is the financial risk an uncertified used EV buyer carries into every unverified transaction.
Typical State of Health range seen on four year old Tata Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and MG ZS EV units entering the used market in 2025 and 2026.
India has no national requirement for battery health disclosure at ownership transfer. A voluntary certified report fills that trust gap directly.
A trustworthy battery report goes well beyond a single percentage on a dashboard. The Navionyx report is built from data pulled directly through the vehicle's Battery Management System and presented in a format any buyer, dealer, or acquisition manager can read without an engineering background.
The headline figure comparing current usable capacity against the battery's original factory capacity.
Broken down by fast charge versus slow charge sessions, since heavy reliance on fast charging accelerates wear differently.
Across every module in the pack, not just a pack level average, so a single weak or imbalanced cell cannot hide behind a healthy looking score.
Flagging any periods where the pack ran hotter than expected, since heat exposure is one of the strongest predictors of accelerated degradation.
Mapped against the manufacturer's SoH threshold for repair or replacement coverage.
A single Navionyx generated number that combines all of the above into one easy reference point for pricing conversations.
